You are going to find that your diet is just as influential on your body shape as your exercise program. Your body only needs a certain amount of calories to maintain its current weight and if you eat a lesser amount, you should lose weight. You can figure out this amount of calories by using your BMI or Body Mass Index.
When you figure out how many calories you are going to need each day, you now have to make sure that you are consuming the right calories. Aerobic exercise is extremely important when you are trying to lose belly fat. You will need to do about 30 minutes a day at least 3 or 4 days a week. You may not be able to get to that level in the beginning, but eventually you will build up your strength and look forward to putting in your 30 minutes each day.
While aerobic workouts are great, they are not the only type of physical training that you are going to need to do. You will need to do some type of light weight training or better yet, something that will relieve the stress in your life like yoga. Stress is something that also leads to belly fat and doing an exercise such as this will kill two birds with one stone.
