Winemaking with grapes
Wine making at home requires grape juice. If you don’t have grape juice, making wine could be a challenge don’t you think? However, having grapes isn’t enough for making wine at home. You need the right kind of grapes and more importantly, the right kind of grape juice. If the juice isn’t right, your wine won’t just turn out the way it is suppose to and that is absolutely delicious.
So you’ve got your grape juice all in a bottle. The step that comes next is adding some sugar to it to start the alcohol making process. Add the sugar in granulated form or table sugar as it’s commonly refer to. Sugar or granulated sugar is available literally anywhere groceries are sold. If everything in your area is closed for some reason, go to a seven eleven and pick up a box.
So what is the next exciting step in making wine at home? The next step is to add some yeast. Yeast multiplies faster than anything on this planet as it’s really a bacteria so you don’t need a lot of it. Once yeast is added to the mix, it sort of creates this ‘fuzzy’ noise and you might see some bubbles popping up. This should happen only after a day or two. This means the ‘fermentation’ or wine making process has begun.
Now comes storage and you can literally store your wine anywhere clean and clear such as within a cabinet. Make sure your cabinet isn’t too hot or too cold. Room temperature is just wine as anything more or less can destroy your hard work very fast. Too hot temperature can rapidly speed up fermentation and too cold will not produce any alcohol at all as the yeast cells will simply remain in active throughout their storage period. Make sure it’s all at room temperature and your wine should turn out phenomenal with no imperfections at all.
As you have already read, home wine making is fun easy and can be an incredible hobby. Don’t let the so called wine gurus and expert make it hard for you.
