Walking – The Best Exercise For You

What is the best exercise? Many people may want to know the answer of this question as they want to live a longer, healthier and happier life. In fact, it is easy to achieve this.

Walking is indeed the best exercise. It is a natural movement and we learn it since we were young kids.

Walking keeps ourselves active and mobile and we can do everyday activity. I can tell you that if we didn’t walk, we won’t be as intelligent as we are now. We won’t have chances to enjoy all the luxuries such as electricity and cars in our lives.

Our ability to walk straight makes us different from apes. We benefit a lot from walking. It can be said that walking is the best exercise due to three reasons:

1. Every organ in your body will be exercised when you are walking. Your heart is pumping to all parts of your body, your brain is stimulated and it is really healthy for your body. Many scientific research has proved that resting is not as healthy as walking. There was once a research about the benefit of walking when compare with resting. It showed that people who walk more often tend to have a high bone densities, healthier complexions, lower risk of mental illness, higher immunity, etc. Walking is vital to keep your organs healthy!

2. Walking also stimulates metal activity. During a leisure walk, you have more time to think clearly on a certain subject matter other than the exercise or task that you are performing. Furthermore, walking stimulates creativity. Let me share with an example of Stephen King. He is a famous writer and he said that walking help him create new stories. For me, I usually think how to win in a chess game while walking.

3. Walking, as a social activity. There are only very few people who cannot perform this act. Almost everyone can do it, regardless their age. Even the disabled can do this. Walking does not discriminate against anyone. It is something that everyone can enjoy. You may want to share your recent up and downs with your friends and hiking is the best choice. If you want some quiet time alone with you girlfriend, try walking along the beach. Walking is the time to interact and communicate with people.
