Seven Handy Kitchen Gadgets
Everyone who cooks can use some of these handy kitchen gadgets in their own home. While you can get by with a bare bones kitchen and a few old pots and pans,in this day and age you don’t have to. The items in this list can free up some of your time, help you make delicious meals, store leftovers and even make the kitchen a fun place. So without further ado, here are some of my favorite kitchen gadgets. I hope you like them.
The Bread Maker: This modern miracle is one of the best kitchen tools out there. I love getting up in the morning to the smell of freshly baked bread, that was prepared for me by this kitchen gadget while I was sleeping. Just add the ingredients, set the timer and go to bed.
Coffee Maker with Timer: If you plan ahead, you can use this handy tool to make coffee for you that will be ready when your alarm clock goes off. Of course, it can be used without the timer and it is pretty useful that way too.
Good Kitchen Knife Set: The cheap knives have handles that fall off, sometimes the blades will rust and they don’t stay sharp as long either. If you want a worthwhile set of knives you will have to pay a little more, but you will be glad you did!
Food Containers: A set of plastic food containers is great for storing leftovers and such. They are also great for vegetables like baby carrots, and for berries. You can also freeze food in them.
Immersion Blender: These hand held gadgets can be placed in large drinking glasses, pots, or mixing bowls. You can mix drinks, baking ingredients, gravies or even whip potatoes. They take up less space and are easier to clean than traditional blenders as well.
Classic Toaster Oven: These aren’t as popular as they used to be, but they are still pretty useful to toast or bake small items like sandwiches and such. The main advantage to a toaster oven is that it is suited to cooking for one or two people in small portions. If you want to make big batches, the conventional kitchen oven is more suitable.
Sandwich Grill: I love the way my grilled cheese sandwich comes out with the edge sealed when I use on of these. That way I can use more cheese!
And that gives you a rundown of my favorite kitchen gadgets. I hope you got some ideas of what you would like in your own kitchen. I have never regretted buying any of these, and we use most of them on a daily basis, especially the coffee maker!
