The information you provide is for use by RecipeDirectory.org only and will not be submitted to or shared with any third party. This information is used to help us communicate with you about your submission and to help us properly maintain the directory accurately for our customer list and to better understand our customer needs.

By submitting a link to our directory, you are stating that you have read and will be bound by the site terms, privacy policy, listing rules, and guideline. Further, by posting your link you agree to receive listing related and periodic e-mail from RecipeDirectory.org and understand this is a condition of your continued listing in the directory. If you do not agree to these, please do not bother posting your link, Thank you.

In order to create the best experience we can for our visitors and to make your link as valuable as possible RecipeDirectory.org Directory, we have developed these Submission Rules and Guidelines for our directory. Before recommending your site for RecipeDirectory.org Directory, please read these rules and guidelines. Our editors have the right to reject, block and delete any site/s that do not follow these rules and guideline or for any other reason.

For your site to be included into the directory, it should meet the following criteria:

We do not except sites that contain any of the following or links to third part sites that do. This is a family oriented site of family friendly websites and as such should be something you would be equally proud of sharing with your 4 year old or your grandmother…

We do not except sites with any of the following:

With popup windows and other technologies that interfere with viewing the main content of the site
Keyword stuffed sites that are created specially for Search Engines
Sites that engage in any form of cloaking of multiple webpages
Mirror sites that have substantially the same content, but different URLs
Under-construction. Websites make certain that all images and links on your site work properly
Sites with dead links
Sites hosted on free hosting accounts such as Tripod and Geocities.Hosting and domain names are so affordable that if your not willing to take your site seriously why should we
An IP address as its link site must have a regular and correct URL
Sites that redirect visitors to another site
Non-English language sites, translated versions of the site are fine as long as the main site is in English.

The following sites will not be included into the directory:

Any site containing any adult material will not be accepted
Sites selling sex toys only or together with other products making up the majority of its content
Sites with links to other adult sites or sites containing sex-oriented advertisements
Adult sites with obvious sexual or adult image galleries or adult video chat sites
Sites mostly containing sex stories as the major part of their content with no literary value
Sites containing libel, child pornography, materials violating the copyright of others, propaganda, violence, hatred, bigotry, racism, hate fraud illegal weapons, explosive making materials or instructions, terrorism, radical political views, hacking, pirating software, warez, or from countries that are on the US embargo list, predominately pharmaceuticals, illegal drugs or paraphernalia and contain any illegal materials.
Any site that violates the Google AdSense, YPN Publisher, MSN Adcenter terms of service.
Sites that do not adhere to the Google best practices for Webmasters.
Sites of a non food nature. Site must be of a recipe, cooking, cooking supplies, food nature, and most Not promote hard alcohol.

Sites containing the following content:

Sites created only for displaying AdSense advertisements and other similar advertisements that are just collections of articles or auto generated – true content sites with quality original content are welcome even if they use ads to generate revenue. Content must be original and unique to be considered acceptance is at our editors discretion.
Sites mostly consisting of affiliate links
Sites with poor design and with excessive amounts of advertising
Sites that are your home page or devoted to your pet
Sites containing excessive amounts of animated images and little or no real content.
Sites containing any gambling, online games, such as roulette, poker, bingo, lotteries, etc. as well as advertisements of online casinos or gambling websites.

Anything else at our sole discretion we feel would harm the site or its visitors and customers.

We retain the right to have our editors have the right to make any changes in the title, description or keywords of your site and to change its location - move it to another category or subcategory. Your site can be blocked or removed from our directory without any prior notification if it violates the above rules and guidelines. If our editors have to make substantial revisions to your listing it will most likely just be deleted. We get a huge amount of submissions and it is not our job to promote your website. Please use reasonable and ethical promotion practices in your submission it will save us both time.

By placing your link and site into our submission form for consideration you grant us a non-exclusive right to use content from sites listed in our directory for building editing or other promotional materials we feel is appropriate. We will limit this to information from your site that may be edited at our sole discretion from your Personal Pages for listings (1-5 descriptive sentences maximum).

Title: Keep Title text (anchor text) as descriptive as possible and avoid excessive keyword stuffing. Do not capitalize every letter it is ok to use proper book title formatting with capitalization. Do not use domain name as title this will be the title anchor text of your backlink.

URL: This should be your root domain name URL (http://www.yourdomain.com) no deep linking except in Featured Links.

Description: Try to write as accurate and objectively as possible avoid promotional wording like best, greatest, and cheapest, etc. Description should not look or sound like an advertisement, the more accurate you are the more likely your site is to be accepted and in a more timely manor. If our editors have to rewrite it, it may just be deleted.

Name: A real name of a real human being we do not make this public or share it with anyone so it is safe with us. If you are unwilling to put your name to your website you probably are not a serious business person and will be treated as such.

e-mail Addresses: Do I really have to tell you to avoid those junky throw away addresses? E-mail address when at all possible should match your domain name if you haven't set up one you are missing a great way to market your site and build brand awareness. If it bounces, your listing will be suspended. If it continues to bounce it will be deleted. We do not send out a ton of junk and your information is never shared or sold.

Category: Be as accurate as possible you know your site and product best of all if you leave it up to us you may not end up where you want. If your site is clearly not related to a subject it is highly likely it will just be deleted, we do not have time to categorize every site.

Reciprocal URL: Make sure you have given us the true URL of our reciprocal link if it does not validate your listing will be rejected without review and you would be wasting your time and ours. We check reciprocal links at least once a week at irregular times if our link is not present or working your account will be deactivated. If you want a free link, we do offer them.

Pricing:

Featured listings: Receive our highest priority in the review process. Usually within 48 to 72 hours. With featured listing, your site will appear at the top of the category with a site thumbnail and a longer description. You can also deep link to interior pages of your website with a featured listing. Fee is refundable if your site is not accepted by our editors.

Express Review: For a small fee, you can purchase express review of your regular non-reciprocal link. Sites are usually reviewed in 1 to 3 days at this point and are reviewed before all listings except for featured listings above. This is a nonrefundable fee as you are paying for express consideration only. Then just a small fee annually to maintain your link status.

Regular link with reciprocal: These listings are free as long as you maintain a reciprocal link on your site back to us. Please use the code below you can just copy and paste this into your site code in a text editor. A Warning we check these links at least weekly if we do not find a link on your site your link will be deactivated and the page rank that goes along with this goes too. Please do not modify the link code in anyway.

Social Bookmarking: When you are done with your submission we recommend social bookmarking our site in any of the social bookmarking sites you use. Once your site is accepted we suggest navigating to that listing page and also bookmarking this page to build not only our Page Rank but your listings strength too. The more people who do this the higher the ranking will be for us both and make this directory even more valuable to everyone. We encourage you to be a good marketer and not to do any spammy practices but a legitimate link is good for everyone.

We know this seams like a huge number of rules but it is designed to keep the directory a highly valuable source of traffic for our customers and to give web surfers a high quality surfing experience. Stick to these guidelines and rules and your site is certain to be added to our directory. These rules are designed to keep the directory Page Rank high which in turn will bring you more search engine traffic.
