For Alexandre Gama, Persistence Is Key

Alexandre Gama always knew that his passion for creativity and advertising would take him to great places. He never knew just how far it would take him. After nearly a decade working as a copywriter for Standard Ogilvy & Mather in his native Brazil, Gama’s dreams seemed to be fading. His persistence paid off when he was recruited to be the Creative Director for DM9 in 1990. His career took off from there and after 4 years at DM9, Gama was hired as the CEO and COO of Young & Rubicam. After a few successful years there, Gama started his own agency in 1999 that he aptly named Neogama. After nearly 20 years in the business, Alexandre finally fulfilled his dreams. His firm has gone on to win 23 Golden Lions at the Cannes Film Festival and he is now recognized as one of the leading advertising executives in the world.
